Rob Cohen is chief executive officer at Bamboo Health (formerly Appriss Health + PatientPing), serving previously as the president and general manager from 2016-2021. Cohen has led the transformation of the company that has seen rapid growth in its products as well as its personnel, growing from around 50 employees in 2016 to 400 at the beginning of 2022.
Cohen brings more than 20 years of healthcare and technology experience to his role with a career spanning leadership positions at Evolent Health, McKinsey & Company, Anthem, and Healthways.
Prior to Bamboo Health, Cohen served as the Market President of Tennessee for Evolent Health, a leading health IT and population health provider, where he was responsible for the operations, growth, and profitability of regional relationships.
His healthcare and technology experience spans not only operations and business development, but also customer relationship management, product marketing, and corporate strategy. It is with this diverse skill set that Cohen has led Bamboo Health to new heights.
In his time with the company, Cohen has been the driving force behind remarkable growth in the prescription drug monitoring and behavioral health spaces, and played a key role in the acquisitions of OpenBeds, a behavioral health capacity management, referral, and care coordination solution in 2019, and PatientPing, a care collaboration and network solution in 2021.
Rob Cohen holds a BBA, summa cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Computer and Information Technology from the Moore School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
