The Home Health Value-Based Purchasing Model (HHVBP) is aimed to give Medicare-certified home health agencies (HHA) incentives to give higher quality and more efficient care.
Launched as a pilot in January 2016 in nine states, this model features payment tied to quality performance. The expanded HHVBP model’s first performance year started January 1, 2023.
