Louisville, KY — June 20, 2023 — Bamboo Health™, the leader in Real-Time Care Intelligence™, today announced that its Chief Clinical Officer, Nishi Rawat, MD, MBA, has been named to the 2023 Becker’s Healthcare Women to Know in Health IT list. This is the second year in a row that Dr. Rawat was named amongst her peers in the healthcare technology space. In 2022, Dr. Rawat was recognized on Becker’s Women in Health IT to Watch list.

“I’m honored to be recognized on Becker’s Women to Know in Health IT list alongside these influential women in health IT,” said Nishi Rawat, MD, MBA, chief clinical officer at Bamboo Health. “It’s imperative that women continue to influence our industry with innovative thinking, diverse perspectives and a passion for bettering the lives of patients. I’m excited to see where this group of women takes healthcare IT next.”

Each year, Becker’s Healthcare accepts nominations for the list and features those furthering innovation in their field. The list honors women in health IT for their dedication to optimizing healthcare through technology.

Dr. Rawat was named to this year’s list because of her continued leadership, her commitment to reducing substance abuse and the role she plays in evolving Bamboo Health’s solutions to address the needs of customers and partners across the healthcare industry. She has been fundamental to the company’s efforts to scale their behavioral health solutions, which connect individuals to care in real time and support the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Dr. Rawat also co-founded OpenBeds ®, which provides insight into local inpatient and outpatient bed availability and improves individuals’ access to treatment. Today, OpenBeds, which was acquired by Bamboo Health, is live in 15 states across the country.

Prior to her role at Bamboo Health, Dr. Rawat served as a critical care physician and faculty within John Hopkins University School of Medicine where she cared for many patients with substance use disorder.

“Women are increasingly taking on leadership roles in health IT, bringing well-rounded and diverse perspectives to the field. The women celebrated on this year’s list are helping to improve healthcare using IT. Their work is instrumental to the elevation of the patient journey, the standardization of processes, the implementation of novel telehealth initiatives and more,” shared Becker’s Healthcare in a press release.
