Louisville, KY, April 2, 2024Bamboo Health, the leader in Real-Time Care Intelligence™, announced that Chief People Officer Annie Likins has been recognized by Louisville Business First as a 2024 Enterprising Women honoree.

The award program honors professional women who are making a difference in business and the Louisville community. The 21 honorees uniquely combine leadership, community and civic engagement, business management, mentoring, volunteerism, entrepreneurship and innovation. They include business owners and executives working in education, healthcare, professional services and a variety of other industries.

“It is truly an honor to be named among this year’s Business Women First’s Enterprising Women,” said Likins. “As a Kentucky native, I have thoroughly enjoyed contributing to the Louisville business community through my work focused on talent attraction and development and through corporate tech start-up mentorship programs. As a Chief People Officer, it is so rewarding to see careers flourish and businesses grow through my work and to know that it has an impact on communities across the country through our work at Bamboo Health.”

As an attorney, Likins served as an Assistant District Attorney and as an Assistant Attorney General in Massachusetts before transitioning into human resources and corporate leadership. Over the past two decades, her legal training and passion for building strong, engaged teams have contributed to the success of several high-growth, entrepreneurial companies.

Before coming to Bamboo Health (and previously Appriss Health), Likins served as General Counsel and Chief Human Resources Officer for Luma Technologies. In addition to a number of other HR leadership roles, she spent the majority of her career as Chief People Officer of Louisville-based Genscape, a global provider of energy information for commodity and financial market, and as the Global HR Director at DMGT in London, publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail Online. Her other roles included serving as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Camden National Bank, the largest bank in Maine.

Likins devotes her free time to a variety of community support roles. She is a board member of the Jefferson Community & Technical College Foundation Board and of the Louisville Leadership Board. She also volunteers and holds leadership roles within a number of local organizations, including the Dare to Care Food Bank. She serves as a mentor to startup executives within the Endeavor program, as well as the Alice Houston Women’s Leadership Program.

“Annie truly excels in building a corporate culture that aligns our business strategy and initiatives with the right talent, while also serving as a powerful mentor to women both within Bamboo Health and in the broader business community,” said Jeff Smith, CEO at Bamboo Health. “Thanks to her skills and experience, we consistently attract top talent that supports our efforts to empower whole person care during pivotal moments in an individual’s care journey.”

Likins and the other 2024 Louisville Business First Enterprising Women will be profiled in the April 19 edition of Louisville Business First.
