Samantha Bender

Samantha Bender is one of the lobbyists at Public Strategies Impact (PSI) firm. Samantha is a lifelong New Jersey resident who grew up in Cape May and resides in Burlington County. She has worked for multiple South Jersey Legislators, including Senator Bob Andrzejczak, Assemblyman Bill Moen and Assemblywoman Carol Murphy. During her time as a staffer, she gained knowledge on various issues, such as agriculture, tourism and consumer protection, while also becoming an expert on the legislative process. Samantha worked for Governor Murphy for two years as a Senior Legislative Aide and gained expertise in education, transportation and criminal justice. She also assisted the Murphy administration in passing legislation and acted as the Governor’s Legislative Affairs liaison to a bipartisan group representing South Jersey.

Fri Awasum, MD, is an experienced healthcare leader with a diverse background in family medicine, public health and healthcare administration. Currently serving as a Physician Executive Vice President at CVS Accountable Care, Fri is passionate about advancing health equity and improving care in underserved communities. She brings a wide variety of experiences across academic health systems, hospital medicine and safety net institutions and has deep experience with delivering high value care in underserved settings. As a physician leader, Fri has developed targeted programs to enhance clinician engagement, job satisfaction and clinical performance. Previously, while serving as the Regional Chief Clinical Officer for ChenMed’s Chicago market, she and her team delivered best-in-class outcomes in value-based care by reducing preventable admissions and optimizing healthcare utilization. Fri sees advanced analytics and technology as levers to improve the physician and patient experience in value-based care. She has a proven track record of delivering high-quality care while fostering collaboration and a healthy culture.

Elizabeth Todd, PT, DPT

As the Director of Clinical Operations, Liz Todd oversees the planning, organization and direction of Delaware Valley Accountable Care Organization’s (DVACO) clinical operations, encompassing quality improvement, care coordination, care continuum and post-acute services. She plays a key role in developing and executing strategies aimed at improving clinical performance and patient care outcomes. Liz is directly responsible for executing DVACO’s successful post-acute strategy, ensuring seamless care transitions and optimizing post-acute services. Liz is particularly passionate about end-of-life care and the use of clinical data analytics to enhance patient care and value-based care models. Throughout her career, she has led clinical quality improvement initiatives, developed clinical education programs and managed interdisciplinary teams. Liz has worked across various settings, including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, and home health.

Tony Murdoch

Tony Murdoch is the Senior Vice President of Growth at Bamboo Health. He’s been with the Bamboo Health (and formerly PatientPing) for seven years and has 15 years of experience in healthcare information technology, including time at Experian and Meditech. Tony is passionate about identifying opportunities to partner with clinicians to help them do their jobs more efficiently and identifying opportunities for patients to receive better care as an outcome.

Ryan Graham serves as Vice President of Practice Operations & Value-Based Care for Privia Medical Group—Georgia. In his role, Ryan is focused on driving the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care with a particular focus on rewarding doctors for delivering high-value care while improving the patient experience.

Tim Bray

As Vice President for Justice and Health Policy, Tim serves as the Texas team lead on Justice and Health initiatives for Meadows Institute and supports various national system-focused projects associated with the Center for Justice and Health. As a former behavioral health system decision-maker, Tim also serves as a thoughtful advisor for system actors, providing technical assistance on health system integration, competency restoration and various treatment diversion strategies for those currently or at risk of being justice-involved. Prior to joining the Meadows Institute, Tim served as the Associate Commissioner for State Hospitals at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. Overseeing the state hospital system, Tim was at the epicenter of forensic psychiatric inpatient care – a major crossroads of the criminal justice and mental health systems.
