Richard Bone, MD

Dr. Richard H. Bone is a Board-Certified Internist and Gastroenterologist at Advocate Aurora Medical Group (AAMG). He is the Senior Medical Director of Population Health for AAMG and leads the GI service line in Illinois. He was previously the Vice President of Medical Management – South Region for AAMG and has held numerous administrative roles with Michael Reese Health Plan, Humana Staff Medical HMO, Advocate Health Centers, Advocate Medical Group and Advocate Aurora Medical Group. His clinical practice is Gastroenterology and Dr. Bone is on staff at Advocate Christ Hospital, Advocate Trinity Hospital, Advocate South Suburban Hospital, and the Tinley Woods Surgical Center. Dr. Richard Bone completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at West Suburban Hospital and Medical Center (WSHMC) where he also served as Chief Resident. He was a Fellow in Digestive Disease at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. Dr. Bone has been published in numerous clinical journals in Hepatitis, Cell Modulation, and more. He has presented on population health topics at multiple national meetings and is an active leader in Group Practice Improvement Network (GPIN) and the American Medical Group Association (AMGA).
